West Ham United finally parted company with David Moyes in May following an underwhelming 2023-24 campaign.
The Scottish boss secured a respectable ninth-placed finish in the Premier League but his team won just two of their final 11 league matches.
However, the main reason for fans’ dissatisfaction with Moyes was his negative brand of football rather than the results on the pitch.
Julen Lopetegui, who saved Wolverhampton Wanderers from relegation in his previous managerial stint, has now been installed as their new head coach.
The Spaniard will want to make a good first impression with a strong display in the pre-season friendlies.
West Ham, like many other Premier League clubs, will be doing their pre-season touring in the United States of America this summer.
However, they will play their first friendly in London against Dagenham & Redbridge at the Chigwell Construction Stadium on July 20.
In America, their first opponents are set to be Wolves as part of their Sunshine State Tour, with the fixture set to take place on July 27 at the EverBank Stadium in Florida.
The Hammers will then go head-to-head with Crystal Palace at the Raymond James Stadium on August 3 before returning home to play their final friendly against Celta Vigo at the London Stadium on August 10.
The East Londoners will begin their Premier League campaign on August 17 at home against Aston Villa.
